We were finally placed on the waiting list on July 8th!
Most adoptive parents develop extreme frustration with the waiting process...but we're really excited to be to this point, since we've spent the past 8 months working on our home study, documents, and approval through USCIS! It's likely that our wait for a referral will be shorter than the preparation process, and we're hopeful that we will know who our child is before the end of the year!
So, here's to patience - because we are going to need a lot of it! :)
